Aurélie, une inspectrice qui a laissé maladroitement filer Florian, un jeune homme soupçonné d’être impliqué dans la disparition de sa petite amie Julia, apprend qu’il a été arrêté sur un cargo de la marine marchande suisse pour le meurtre d’un matelot. Envoyée en Afrique du Sud pour le rapatrier, elle découvre que Julia a été passagère de ce cargo quelques semaines auparavant. Elle poursuit son enquête, seule, et fait face à la résistance de l’équipage.
