Emu’s World began in 1981 on Central TV, starring Rod Hull, Emu, the witch Grotbags (Carol Lee Scott), and her assistant Croc. Each week, Grotbags tried to steal Emu to control the world’s “brats.” The Pink Windmill Kids helped defend Emu and performed song and dance numbers. Rod’s catchphrase, “There’s somebody at the door!” played whenever the Pink Windmill’s sneezing doorbell rang, adding to the show’s fun and charm
