  • S01E01 Testicular Cancer

    First through the doors was 55-year-old Nick. Having suffered with painful haemorrhoids since his early teens, it was only now that he could face the shame to see a doctor. Next up was 24 year-old Alex, sent in by his partner with a case of Athlete’s Foot that he’d had for over two years! His girlfriend had finally had enough of sharing her boyfriend (and her bedroom!) with his ‘stilton’ like condition, declaring that it was ‘Me or the Toe!’ Also through the clinic doors came Charlotte, who was not sure what was normal ‘down below’ there was 20-year-old Victoria with a worrying case of inverted nipples, as well as Nicky who suffered from excessive gas. Last in to the clinic was 46-year-old Dave, whose skin tag brought a somewhat fishy suggestion from Dr Jessen. The first week of surgery also saw the doctors take a detailed look at testicular cancer, so Dr Jessen headed down to Moseley Rugby Club to persuade the team to take matters into their own hands…

    Patients seen by the doctors in Episode 2 included 30-year-old Jo, whose Psoriasis was ruining her social life, whilst 72-year-old Bryan’s damaged penis was in need of a re-cut! Also in the clinic this week was Faye, who was desperate to shake off the condition that earned her the name ‘Sweaty Betty’. Meanwhile Big Brother 8 ‘star’ Shabnam dropped in to see the doctors about her incredibly itchy scalp, while bunions were the bane of one patient. There was also time for the Birmingham University Hockey Club to learn how to carry out a thorough breast examination from Dr Harper…

    Patients consulted and diagnosed by the doctors in Episode 3 included 33-year-old Toni, who was so ashamed of her asymmetrical breasts that she’d never let her husband see them. A man’s worst STD nightmare was examined by Dr Jessen, while Derek’s deformed toenail was driving both him and his partner to distraction. Also in the show was 25-year-old Natalie, whose in-growing hair was ruining her love life, as well as a patient whose inability to control her bladder was taking over her life. Male fertility was on the agenda as a group of mountain bikers learnt how their hobby could be doing them more harm than good. Sperm samples were supplied to Dr Jessen, with one shocking result…

    Episode 4’s patients included 37-year-old Emma whose hairy face had rendered her a virtual recluse. Also visiting the clinic was Steve, whose sex life had been ruined by the unusual shape of his penis. Chronic bad breath sufferer Sarah was in the clinic to try and find a cure for her embarrassing problem, whilst father and daughter Karl and Rebecca both sported impressive crops of verrucas. There was also time for Luke, a young man with a mysterious problem he was keen to get off his chest...

    Entering the clinic for Episode 5 was Teresa, who had something very nasty lurking in her ear. There was also 20-year-old Jack, whose constant and very smelly diarrohea was ruining his life. Other patients included Christina, who thought she had piles – but actually had something far worse, and Sophia, whose facial and neck pigmentation problem had destroyed her confidence. Finally there was Barrie, a guy who was desperate to be rid of his man boobs. Meanwhile Dr Jessen headed out into the bars and clubs of Birmingham to shed some light on the growing problem of chlamydia. He persuaded a group of sexy young things to test themselves for the condition… with shocking results!

    Patients seen by the doctors in Episode 6 included a man whose gigantic hairy mole covered his entire shoulder, as well as a young woman whose life was being ruined by boils that constantly erupt all over her body. There was also a 44-year-old woman who received a cutting edge medical procedure to rid her of the heavy periods that were making her life a misery. Also Dr Harper embarked on a mission at a Birmingham health club to reveal the horrors that lurked beneath the gym kit – with some revolting results!

    Episode 7 saw our doctors treating a man whose terrible Acne has totally destroyed his confidence, as well as a patient whose Leg Ulcer was so ugly that he refused to bare his legs in public. There was also a woman who had suffered from faecal incontinence for years. Having decided that she wouldn’t let it control her life, she came into the clinic in search of a solution. Also in this episode, Dr Jessen decided to take the clinic to the people as he hit a South London swimming pool and discovered a whole host of embarrassing illnesses amongst the Capital’s bathers…

  • S01E08 Poo

    Patients for Episode 8 included 38-year-old Jeff, whose in-growing facial hair was destroying his self confidence. There was Rosacea suffering Susan who was so embarrassed about her constant blushing that she couldn’t even face going for a job interview. There was also 47 year-old Gael, whose face was covered in ugly blood blisters – the result of a genetic condition. Finally there was Geoff, who had reached the end of his tether with his severe psoriasis. Due to complications he couldn’t have light therapy, so his last hope is the Embarrassing Illnesses clinic. Dr Jessen also hit a student union bar where he explained how dietary habits were crucial when it came to avoiding bowel cancer.
