عمل إجتماعي كوميدي يتحدث عن الطمع ونتائجه وأسبابه وذلك من خلال شخصية بومتيح الأب البخيل الطماع عاشق المصالح الذي همّه الوصول للمال بأي طريقة كانت وتتأثر أسرة بومتيح ومن حوله بطبعه السيء فنرى بعضاً أسرته مؤيداً له وآخرين يودون التحرر منه هذا بالإضافة إلى بعض المشاكل الإجتماعية التي تحدث بين بومتيح وجيرانه وأخته الوحيدة وزوجها.
