La nueva cúpula de ETA es aún más sanguinaria que la anterior. Una de sus principales decisiones es el intento de asesinato del candidato de la derecha a la presidencia del Gobierno. Se suceden secuestros y asesinatos de políticos, personajes públicos y guardias civiles. En este periodo se produce el secuestro de un joven concejal vasco, desconocido entonces, que será el detonante del fin de ETA.
The new leadership of ETA is even more bloodthirsty than the previous one. One of its main decisions is the assassination attempt on the right-wing candidate for the presidency of the Government. Kidnappings and murders of politicians, public figures and civil guards take place. During this period, a young Basque councilor is kidnapped. Though it is unknown at the time, this event will trigger the end of ETA.
