When Sam comes to visit, Jane offers her a position at Walco. Tension mounts between Chris and Paul. In the heat of the moment Braam tells Karin that if she want to be independent she needs to live on her own. Stephen on the other hand is upset that Karin is looking for a job. Louwna keeps her ordeal with Meyer hidden from Chris.
Baby is disappointed not to see Paul at the wedding but is proud of Hansie when she hears him singing. Elsa tells Chris that he shouldn't have left Louwna – they made a good team. Merle tells Paul she misses him but realizes it will never work. Joe feels sorry for Coreen when she tells him she regrets leaving him. Jan tells Baby that their marriage is over.
Jane makes it clear to Coreen that she doesn't need her sympathy. Karin is in tears when she receives news that a teenager she's been counseling at the rehab centre has died. Jane and Sam are ecstatic when Jane gets news that she is pregnant, but she is determined not to tell Tim about the baby before their divorce.
Sam has her hands full with the kids at the office. Chris realises something is wrong with Des and insists that she goes to the doctor. Coreen takes pleasure in Karin's misery. Des goes to the doctor against her will and is surprised by the physical attraction between the two of them.

After Coreen threatens to go to the press, Chris asks her if she is responsible for the break-up of Karin and Stephens' marriage. Nora puts the sick bush baby in the hands of the Animal Rescue Team. When Kevin abducts Louwna from her home, he informs that she's responsible for putting him in jail.
An increasingly desperate Louwna is determined to survive in her place of imprisonment. Chris is shocked to learn of Louwna's kidnapping.
