เจ้าขวัญวาริน รัชทายาทสาวแห่งอาณาจักรเวียงสิงห์หนีการแต่งงานมาอยู่เมืองไทยพร้อมรัศมี องครักษ์หญิงคนสนิท แต่เพราะรัศมีต้องปกป้องเจ้าหญิงจากการถูกลอบฆ่าโดยคนของเจ้าป้าที่ต้องการให้เจ้าภาสกร บุตรชายของตนขึ้นครองราชย์แทน ทำให้ทั้งคู่พลัดหลงกัน เจ้าหญิงหนีมาซ่อนตัวในคณะลำซิ่งในนาม วาริน แต่นาวี หลานชายเจ้าของคณะเห็นพิรุธจึงคอยจับผิดและหาเรื่องเธอ โดยมีรจนา นักร้องประจำวงที่แอบชอบนาวีช่วยใช้งานวาริน จนนาวีเริ่มเห็นใจ
