ปานฟ้า หญิงสาวจิตใจดีสงสารพี่สาวคนกลางอย่างปานเดือน ที่ต้องเป็นบ้าเพราะลูกชายถูกลักพาตัวไปตั้งแต่เล็ก เธอจึงช่วยตามหลานชายในสถานเลี้ยงเด็กกำพร้า จนวันหนึ่ง เธอพาปานเดือนมาที่บ้านเด็กกำพร้าและพบบุญทิ้ง เด็กกำพร้าที่ภาคินดูแลอยู่ ปานเดือนมั่นใจว่าบุญทิ้งคือลูกที่หายไป ปานฟ้าจึงต้องพาบุญทิ้งมาหาปานเดือนบ่อยๆ โดยมีภาคินคอยช่วยเหลือจนทั้งคู่ผูกพันกัน
