Thawfest

Na Berku se koná tradiční každoroční festival Thawfest, jehož součástí jsou i hry. Vítězem je již mnoho let klan Jorgensenů, do kterého patří i Snotlout. Ten se také třese na to, aby opět vyhrál. Jenže tentokrát jsou do her poprvé v historii přidáni draci a tak mají šanci na výhru i jiní. Včetně Hiccupa.

Die Tauwetter-Festspiele stehen auf dem Programm und ganz Berk ist aufgeregt. Klarer Favorit ist Rotzbakke, der mit einem Sieg die Tradition seines Clans fortsetzen will. Doch diesmal ist Hicks ganz besonders ehrgeizig. Er will auch mal aufs Siegertreppchen und tut alles, um Rotzbakke seinen Platz streitig zu machen. Kann er mit diesem Verhalten Astrid von sich überzeugen?

Berk's annual festive sporting competition, the Thawfest games, is underway and all the teens are participating with the dragons for the first time in Viking history. Hiccup is determined to finally best Snotlout, who constantly gloats about being the reigning Thawfest champion, but Hiccup's successes begin to make him arrogant and boastful, much to Astrid's displeasure and disappointment.

Hipo se muestra finalmente mejor que Patán, que era el campeón vigente, pero los éxitos de Hipo empiezan a volverle soberbio y arrogante, para gran disgusto y decepción de Astrid, por lo cual reacciona y deja ganar a patan, dándole a Astrid un beso.
