Son-Goku hat seinen Kampf gegen Cell aufgegeben und damit ist eigentlich die Menschheit dem Untergang geweiht. Es sei denn, ein weiterer Kämpfer tritt gegen Cell an. Aber wer sollte das sein? Niemand scheint ihm gewachsen zu sein. Son-Goku löst das Rätsel: Sein Sohn Son-Gohan soll gegen Cell antreten. Und Son-Goku setzt sogar noch eins drauf. Er wirft Cell eine magische Bohne zu, damit der sich von den Blessuren aus dem Kampf gegen ihn erholen kann. Und so steht nun der kleine Son-Gohan einem voll einsatzbereiten Cell gegenüber...

Pourtant réputé comme étant l'homme le plus fort qui existe sur Terre, Son Goku a abandonné le combat contre le terrible Cell. À la grande stupéfaction de tous, il désigne son propre fils Son Gohan pour prendre la relève...
Gohan, scelto dal padre, inizia a combattere con Cell, con quest'ultimo in vantaggio. Tuttavia Goku crede che, se Gohan si arrabbierà, riuscirà a sconfiggere Cell.
Luego de rendirse, Goku le da una Semilla del Ermitaño a Cell, y advierte que la pelea no ha terminado y le pide a Gohan tomar su lugar, Mr. Satan simula tener dolores de estómago para no pelear. Cell decide hacer enojar a Gohan.
大家都无法相信悟空的投降。沙鲁对悟空的投降也很震惊，他不相信有人比悟空还强，比自己还强。悟空指定了悟饭上场，所有人都很吃惊，短笛更是指责悟空派出悟饭的行为。在悟空的坚持下，悟饭终于上场。悟空给了沙鲁一颗仙豆，让他恢复体力，好跟悟饭公平战斗。众人对悟饭的成长都很惊讶。与沙鲁的对打悟饭一开始便处于下风，但是悟空还是对悟饭信心满满。
降参した悟空に、驚くZ戦士たち。だが悟空は、セルより強い戦士として、次の挑戦者に悟飯を指名する。セルとの闘いをためらう悟飯。信じられないことに悟空はセルに仙豆を与える。

Segons en Vegeta no és prou poderós per enfrontar-se a l'androide perfecte. El que és cert és que amb la fe del seu pare, en Son Gohan no en tindrà prou per derrotar-lo.
