The Waggy Lee Dance Company (WLDC) has been around for years and is the preeminent place for dogs to receive training. Though Waggy Lee has been criticized for her training techniques, a core group of Dog Moms exist who have sacrificed everything to train with her... perhaps including their dogs.
It's time to see who's on top of the pyramid this week! Will it be anyone other than Mattie? We already know the answer. But when the Moms take issue with who's on top, Waggy Lee turns it into the "Mattiemid".
Man's best friend may be his dog, but Waggy Lee has no friends. She does have an intense rivalry with Catty from the Sugar Pear Dance Company.
The moment has arrived! Waggy Lee hands out the solo assignments for the week. Will there be any surprises? Will Mattie get a solo? Will the Moms lose their cool? Will Waggy Lee take away a solo and then give it back? Probably. Probably all of that.
What happens when the dogs are released to Waggy Lee's rehearsal space? Will they pay attention? Will they learn the choreography? Will they show up on time? And... a dog is late!?! Meanwhile, the moms talk during rehearsal about their concerns and then naturally, things escalate.
The Moms take matters into their own hands and comment on how they think rehearsals are going. Some of them think it's going great! (Marissa) Some think it isn't going great. (Everyone else)
The moms are prepping their dogs for competition and there's already drama about costumes. Do they fit? Someone has the wrong costume - and it's Mattie's! How. Dare. They. Waggy Lee is accused of being racist, Shakira is accused of being jealous and two people storm out!
When the audience watches Dog Moms, often they ask themselves: "why do they keep their dogs with Waggy Lee Dance Company?" "when will they leave?" "do they know that these are dogs?"
It's time! The dogs are ready to perform their solos, trios and the group number. Will the costumes stay on? Will they remember their dances? Will the judges like their pieces? Will someone fall out of their humps? As we all know, second place is the first to lose, and Waggy Lee is not a fan of being the first to lose.
Things are falling apart and escalating quickly after WLDC doesn't show as they usually do at competition. Who really won? And how do the Moms and Waggy Lee handle it?
