Host Jason Cameron and a team of DIY experts transform the interior of a 1960s summer camp house on Vermont's Lake Champlain. Jason along with Tamara Day take the kitchen to a whole new level with both salvaged materials and smart upgrades, then move on to the living room to create an impressive focal wall with built-in shelving.
Jason Cameron is joined by Eric Griffin from DIY's "Amazing Space" to turn the master bedroom and bath of this old summer camp house into a stunning personal retreat. The project starts by expanding the bedroom and nestling a comfortable bed between custom built-ins to create a functional feature wall. The walk-in master closet gets tricked out with clever storage solutions and a new bathroom is constructed using the latest smart features while maintaining a vintage chic influence. The suite is finalized with folding glass doors that open onto a private deck that provides a fantastic birds-eye view of Vermont's stunning Lake Champlain.
Matt Blashaw from DIY's "Yard Crashers" joins host Jason Cameron in the renovation of the DIY Network Ultimate Retreat 2017 by transforming the weathered landscaping outside. The guys start the project by building in the backyard a customized cedar Gabian barbecue. Custom Adirondack deck chairs are constructed using cedar paddles and a 60-year old wooden canoe is transformed into a bench ideal for relaxing by the lake. A finished garage is the cherry on top.
Host Jason Cameron teams up with DIY's Tamara Day, Eric Griffin and Matt Blashaw to transform a 1960s summer camp house on Vermont's Lake Champlain into a stunning, four-season personal retreat. From furniture made by hand on-site to multi-level decks for entertaining, the entire property is reborn, and one lucky viewer will win it all.
Matt Blashaw leads a team as they transform a house nestled in the timbered landscape of Sapphire, North Carolina, into an extraordinary vacation home.
