She has given up her job as an employee, is studying sociology and works in drug counseling. She hardly sees her husband Hermann, in whom Consul Glove has unlimited trust. There is a big row and Hermann disappears to Berlin.
It's Oktoberfest in Munich. Hermann's success leads to such a close relationship with his boss and sponsor that he asks to adopt him. Hermann asks for time to think about it. He is already at a loss enough when it comes to his current and future career. Almost all his former friends are gone.
