In the islands of the Philippines, the legend of the ape-like, 7-foot tall Kapre monster is terrifying. Said to be a hairy, foul-smelling, tree-dweller that attacks anyone (or anything) that comes close to it's refuge, stories of the Kapre have been passed down for generations amongst the Aeta, the oldest inhabitants of the Philippines.
