Auf der Insel East New Britain, einer der 19 Provinzen Papua-Neuguineas, treffen Scott und Justin auf ihren Freund Nick. Gemeinsam besichtigen sie die 1994 von Lavaströmen schwer in Mitleidenschaft gezogene Stadt Rabaul, von wo aus sie den Aufstieg auf und den Abstieg in den immer noch aktiven Vulkan wagen. One of the most fascinating places on earth, and one of the most dangerous, Papua New Guinea is a rough and mostly unexplored country. The guys meet up with their friend Nick on the island of East New Britain, where they visit the lava-buried city of Rabaul, and climb up, and into, an active volcano. Next they explore the island and local dive sites for abandoned World War II relics. Making their way through some thick jungle, they spend a night in a remote family village on their way to a spectacular fire-dancing tribe.
La Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée est un des pays les plus fascinants, les plus dangereux et les plus sauvages de la planète. Les garçons retrouvent leur ami Nick sur l'île de la Nouvelle-Bretagne, où ils visitent Rabaul, une ville ensevelie sous les cendres, et escaladent un volcan en activité. Par la suite, ils explorent l'île et font de la plongée sous-marine en quête de vestiges de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
