Yuichi Masaki (Yosuke Eguchi) works for a law firm as an investigator. He used to work as a secretary for a politician, but he agonized over his involvement in raising a slush fund and he endured his daughter taking her own life. His daughter’s death left him with a deep emotional wound and regret. He is still unable to overcome the loss of his daughter. One day, a girl named Maki Mochizuki (Aju Makita) visits the law firm and asks for help in finding her family. When she was an infant, she was separated from her parents and she grown up at an orphanage.
Yuichi Masaki and Maki Mochizuki visit the town where she once lived with her family. They learn that there was a case of a boy being kidnapped and murdered in the town. Does that case have anything to do with the disappearance of Maki Mochizuki’s family?
