Der hört auf den wunderschönen Namen Ghostwriter und verbannt Danny in eine Weihnachtsgeschichte der besonderen Art, in der alle Personen in Reimen sprechen. Während Danny somit außer Gefecht ist, sorgt Ghostwriter mit seinem magischen Quanten-Keyboard in Amity Park für Chaos. Der fiese Weihnachtsgeist plant, das Fest der Liebe zu ruinieren und die Schuld dafür Danny in die Schuhe zu schieben. Dem ist es inzwischen gelungen, sich aus Ghostwriters böser Scheinwelt zu befreien. Er verbündet sich sogar mit einigen ehemaligen Gegnern, um in Amity Park wieder für Ordnung zu sorgen…
Danny Fenton hates Christmas. When he accidentally destroys the only copy of a ghostly Christmas story, the book's author, Ghost Writer, makes Danny hate the holiday even more by turning him into the main character of a brand new Yuletide tale. Danny is now trapped in a scenario where everyone talks in rhyme! With his magical Quantum Keyboard, Ghost Writer creates a series of catastrophes that threaten to ruin Christmas for all of Amity Park and pins the blame on Danny. When Danny goes into the Ghost Zone to confront Ghost Writer, he is surprised to find his old ghostly enemies in a giving mood. Danny enlists them to help him defeat Ghost Writer and restore the spirit of Christmas to Amity Park and, perhaps, to his own heart.

La Navidad llega y Danny no tiene el gran espíritu navideño, debido a que desde que nació cada Navidad es arruinada por sus padres; quienes pelean por una sola pregunta: "¿Santa Claus existe?". Enojado, va a destruir todas sus compras del día en la Zona Fantasma; pero cuando accidentalmente destruye "El Susto antes de Navidad", la única copia de una historia hecha por Ghostwriter (el fantasma escritor), este lo encierra en su nuevo cuento navideño, en el cual Danny es la estrella principal y todos hablan en rima.
