Trouble at Ewing 23

Ein Erpresser droht damit, das Ölfeld Ewing-23 in die Luft zu sprengen. Bobby und Ray versuchen, den Forderungen des Mannes nach Geld und der Flucht mit einem Jet nachzukommen. J.R. aber hat seine eigenen Vorstellungen vom Umgang mit Erpressern.

Ray is adjusting to the previous episode's revelations, and his status as a Ewing. Cliff and Donna are an item, and Ray is disappointed when he finds out. An extortionist threatening to blow up Ewing 23 gives J.R. the opportunity to put a halt to his fading fortunes with the company and the family by out-manoeuvring Bobby.

Ellie accueille Ray de bon coeur dans la famille. Pam apprend qu'il y a de fortes chances que sa mère soit vivante. Cliff convie Donna à un diner en amoureux. Bobby s'apprête à rouvrir le puits 23 sur lequel Cliff Barnes a aussi des droits. Donna rend visite à Ray pour lui apprendre qu'elle sort avec Cliff. J.R. retourne au bureau. Un déséquilibré essaye d'obtenir une somme considérable sinon il fera exploser le puits 23. Bobby cède au chantage mais pas J.R. Le résultat est catastrophique : le puits explose.
