Julie Grey, die ehemalige Sekretärin von Ewing Oil, will sich an J.R. rächen. Sie beschließt, einige Geheimnisse zu lüften. Vor allem J.R.'s Intrige gegen Cliff Barnes soll ans Licht. Als J.R. davon Winde bekommt, setzt er sofort zwei Männer auf sie an.

J.R is not happy that Cliff is back in public office. He attempts to use Julie to get info about Cliff. She is tired of J.R, and decides she will actually help Cliff. She calls him and leaves him a message that she will fill him in on all the Ewings' secrets. Cliff heads to Julie's but does not find her. After a run in with Ames and Garr from the cartel, Julie ends up falling from the roof of the building.

Julie Grey a décidé de se venger de J.R. qui, pense-t-elle, l'utilise sans lui témoigner la moindre considération. Elle s'apprête à dévoiler à Cliff un secret (le dossier rouge) et lui fixe rendez-vous dans son appartement. Entre temps Willy Joe, accompagné, fait irruption chez Julie. A la suite d'une dispute, Julie fait une chute mortelle du haut de son immeuble. Quand Cliff se présente chez la jeune femme, personne ne répond. J.R. apprend dès le lendemain la mort de son ex-secrétaire et en profite pour faire accuser Cliff. Ecoeurée par le comportement de J.R. et l'incompréhension de Jock, Pamela quitte Southfork et Bobby.
