ท้องทุ่งบางน้ำดอน ในราวพุทธศักราช 2476 เป็นช่วงเวลาที่ตำนานของเสือสไบ แม่เสือสาวกับพรรคพวกกำลังขจรขจาย กับภาพของกลุ่มเสือที่ควบม้า ควงปืนบุกปล้นฆ่าอย่างอุกอาจ ไร้ปรานี จนเกินกำลังเจ้าหน้าที่จะปราบปราม สาเหตุหนึ่งก็เพราะกลุ่มเสือสไบ มักปล้นคนรวย และแบ่งเงินส่วนหนึ่งมาเจือจานคนจน ทำให้ชาวบ้าน รู้เห็นเป็นใจ คอยช่วยเหลือ จนทำให้รอดพ้นเงื้อมมือกฎหมายมาจนทุกวันนี้
