Dee Dee is playing with her toy doctor's kit, doing a checkup on little Pablo when the doorbell rings. They have visitors: another mommy what appears to be a really little person! It's Dee Dee's aunt and little baby cousin Ella. The curious puppies watch Dee Dee, Mom and Dad smile and coo at Ella, before discovering her fun toys and cushiony car seat. The Narrator explains that Ella is a baby and that all living things start out small and grow bigger as they get older. We flashback to the when the puppies were baby pups drinking Mama's milk, , and that they got lots of sleep to help them grow. Dee Dee introduces the pugs to her baby cousin Ella who giggles wildly as the puppies gently shower her with kisses!
Good morning! The pugs wake up in Dee Dee's bedroom, but Dee Dee is still sound asleep, so they run to Mom and Dad's room to wake them up. Dad calls out to Dee Dee to feed then pugs and she sleepily wanders into the kitchen and adds more kibble to their dog dish. Dig in! Time to fill up the water dish. There was less water, but Dee Dee adds more. Then Dee Dee prepares a bowl of cereal but oh no! She spills the cereal on the floor and the dogs scurry over to eat some people food. While sweeping up, Dee Dee spills even more cereal! She finally cleans everything up, just in time to serve Mom and Dad breakfast in bed.
Dad sits in the living room covering his eyes and counting. 1-2-3-4-5! Pablo wonders what Dad is doing, and Penny explains that he's playing hide and seek with Dee Dee, who runs around in the background looking for a hiding place. Dee Dee hides under the blankets in her parents' room, while the pugs scramble to hide as well. Penny hides behind the sofa, and Pablo tries to join her, but she tells him to find his own hidling spot. Poppy hides in Dee Dee's room, and tells Pablo he has to hide somewhere else. Petey hides in the bathroom and tells Pablo he has to find his own spot. Pablo goes to find the best hiding spot ever. Meanwhile, Dad finds Dee Dee and then Dee Dee goes off to find the pugs. She finds them all except for Pablo. Where could that little pug be hiding?
It's another beautiful day, as Penny runs around outside, Poppy plays with her toys, Petey tries tot nibble some flowers, and Pablo - wait, what's wrong with Pablo? He's lying on the grass bored... but not for long! Uncle Marcus has arrived, and who should emerge from the car but Maggie the Sheepdog! Mom calls out to Dee Dee who appears and gives Maggie a big hug, before being dragged by Maggie to the backyard to see the pugs. Pablo leaps up, excited, and wants to know more about this "Maggie". He discovers that even though she looks very different, she is a dog, just like him. He finds other similarities and he learns that dogs are different from people who have two legs, whereas dogs have 4 legs. The day ends with Mom and Dee Dee playing with Maggie and Pablo realizing he's not bored after all. Best day ev-errr!!
Dee Dee and the pugs are playing in her bedroom. What's that colourful suitcase that Dee Dee is opening? Why it's a magic kit! She pulls out a cape and puts it on along with a black top hat. She heads out to the living room to put on a magic show for her parents. The pugs chase after her, but Poppy gets stuck inside the room
Dee Dee introduces the Cutie Pugs to her talking toy dog, until naptime, when the pugs explore her bedroom for a comfy place to sleep - that's not too hard, not too soft... just right.
It's Game day, and the pugs race throughout the house while Dee Dee, Dad and Mom play ping pong. When Dee Dee sets up a pug-sized obstacle course, Poppy wonders whether she can go over and under in record time.
The Cutie Pugs are playing by their little house when they hear Dee Dee jumping on her trampoline and they start barking. Mom and Dad, who are planting some flowers in the backyard, ask Dee Dee to let the pugs out, and the pugs watch Dee Dee as she climbs her play fort and slides down the slide. The she tosses a colourful beach ball up in the air and catches it. Another toss up and the ball gets caught in a little tree, so Dad comes to help take it down. Pablo gets a chance to paw the new, round, bouncy object. The pugs inspect the ball, and soon Dee Dee, Mom and Dad join the pugs as they toss the ball to one another and the pugs scurry around at their feet.
Dee Dee is playing in the basement rec room stacking a pile of wooden blocks of different shapes. Petey really wants to topple the stack, but Pablo defends it valiantly... only to accidentally topple it when he back into it. Dee Dee moves on to another activity: dragging a small red plastic slide into the middles of the room. She climbs the three steps to the top and... Wheeee! Down to the bottom! Now it's the pugs' turn. Penny bravely goes, as do Poppy and Pablo. Only Petey declines. Dee Dee picks him up and before he knows it, he's on the top of the slide, and Wheee... down he goes!
It's a hot summer day and Penny, Petey, Poppy and Pablo are thirsty in the shade near their pug house, when Dee Dee comes over to fill up their empty water dish and let them out to play. After a long drink, the pugs notice Mom filling up an inflatable swimming pool with something wet and clear from the garden hose. Is that a great big water dish? The Cutie Pugs watch Dee Dee splashes around and plays in the pool and wishes they could do the same. Turns out Mom has a smaller, pug-sized pool! The pugs jump right in, but Penny hops out when she hears that Petey has to use the bathroom!
Speedy Penny, Petey and Poppy are racing through the house, but little Pablo is moving slowly and can't keep up, so he decides instead to join Dee Dee downstairs in the basement. There's Dee Dee, setting up a ramp for her cool new remote-control toy car! The other pugs follow Pablo downstairs and scramble to get out of the car's way as it speeds across the floor. Dee Dee launches the car off the ramp, crashing it against the doll house, causing Dad to check in on them. "All good, Dad!", shouts Dee Dee as she builds a wall of cushions in preparation for the next launch.
The Cutie Pugs wake up to discover Dee Dee and her Daddy taking out the contents from a big cardboard box one by one, and assembling the pieces together. A box! The Pugs love boxes! They jump on top of, into and out of the box. Then they peer out from the box to observe what DeeDee and Daddy are building: a shiny, red wagon! What is it and what does it do? Dee Dee gently puts all the pugs in the wagon and takes them for a playful ride around and around the Big Backyard. Woo-hoo!
The Cutie Pugs are in their house when they see see-through, floating circles cross outside their window. What are they? And what do they do? The puppies spill out of Cutie Pug House to see DeeDee and her friend Max blowing bubbles in the Big Backyard. Big bubbles, small bubbles, bubbles everywhere! They chase them around, only to discover they pop when you touch them! What a fun game!
The rain has finally stopped and Dee Dee and the Cutie Pugs can't wait to play in all the puddles in the backyard. Splish-splash! That is, until Mom appears to see Dee Dee and the puppies covered in mud. Time for a bath! First, she fills the plastic tub with water from the garden hose, and then pours gooey, soapy stuff in! Yay, it's bath bubbles! Since Pablo' the dirtiest, he gingerly allows Mom to lower him into the tub. Dee Dee gives him a good cleaning and he realizes a bath can be fun. After all the pugs have a bath, they move indoors where we see Mom drying a just-bathed Dee Dee with a fluffy towel, surrounded by clean pugs who are ready for cuddles. Bath time is so much fun!
Dee Dee draws a hopscotch game with chalk on the front driveway. As she plays, Mom reminds her to feed Benny. Who's Benny? The pugs see Dee Dee as she comes out of the shed in the backyard, carrying a cage with a cute, cuddly bunny rabbit! She sets Benny down in the pen and the pugs gather round to see Benny's long ears and short tail. Petey, who loves food, nibbles on a piece of Benny's lettuce lunch. Play time! Benny is let out of his cage, and Dee Dee and the pugs all Hop-Hop-Hop like a bunny rabbit!
It's cleaning day and Mom, Dad and Dee Dee are clearing out the storage room in the basement. The Cutie Pugs are tussling on the carpet in the rec room and accidentally step on the TV remote, turning the TV off and on. Meanwhile, Dee Dee pulls out her old keyboard and has fun with the pugs making animal noises as they step on the keys. Dee Dee has a great idea! With Mom and Dad's help, she sets up her old disco lights, Mom turns off the lights, and the whole family has a Pugtastic dance party!
Another beautiful day as Penny races around and Poppy chases after her in a game of follow the leader. In the backyard, Dee Dee and Mom fill up watering cans to water the plants. Mom leads and Dee Dee follows. Meanwhile Penny sees a mama duck swimming in the nearby pond with her baby ducklings following her. That gives Dee Dee the idea to play follow the leader with her as the mama duck and the puppies as the ducklings, but Pablo is trying to understand the rules. "Am I a dog or a duck-dog?" Eventually he figures it out, and the pugs cuddle with Dee Dee on the lawn, and then get up for more play!
DeeDee's home is bustling with activity. Her parents have decorated the Big House with streamers and balloons. Her friends have arrived, holding colourful gift-wrapped boxes and bags with bows on them! The Cutie Pugs watch as DeeDee and her friends play party games in the backyard: pin the tail on the donkey, potato sack races, and breaking the pinata! DeeDee's mom calls everyone to the table where she places a colourful, round object with little lights on it. What is it and what does it do? It's a birthday cake with candles! The group sing happy birthday and DeeDee blows out the candles. The pugs help DeeDee open her gifts by tugging on bows and ripping paper! Birthdays are so much fun!
Petey is sad because he can't find his blankie. Penny, Poppy and Pablo reassure him that they will find it together. Meanwhile, Dee Dee is racing around the house, asking Mom if she's seen her favourite toy, Bongo Birdie. Dee Dee checks her toybox in her bedroom before going downstairs to search through the rec room. Dee Dee gives up and flops down on the living room sofa when Dad comes in carrying a load of clean laundry. Dad asks her what's wrong and she says that she's lost her bongo birdie. Dad saves the day when he pulls out her freshly washed toy AND Petey's blanket.
Uh oh! Dee Dee accidentally left the gate to the pug pen open, and Pablo wanders far away from the pug house. Not to worry - Penny, Petey and Poppy are close behind and they all climb up the stairs to the deck and start whining by the back door. Dad lets them inside, and they all rush Dee Dee, who happens to be setting up a makeshift mini-golf course throughout the house. Poppy and Penny explain to Pablo how the game works. Starting in the hallway, Dee Dee putts the ball and gets close to hole number one. In the kitchen at hole number two, she putts the ball even closer! Finally, in the living room, where the Dee Dee is really far from the hole, the pugs are amazed when she gets a hole-in-one!
While Petey, Poppy and Pablo tussle inside the pug house, Dee Dee plays on the deck steps in the backyard. Mom passes by, about to throw a cardboard box into the recycling bin, and Dee Dee borrows and places it on her head to pretend she's a robot. The pugs spy her through the window and race outside as she enters the pen and transforms the box into a pirate ship, with her as Pirate Dee Dee. A phone call from Grandma sends Dee Dee off to say hello, and curious Penny ends up overturning the box on top of her. When the other pugs discover she's stuck inside the box, they must alert Dee Dee for help. Dee Dee to the rescue, as she picks up the box and saves Penny. Now it's back to more Pirate Dee Dee and the pugs sailing in their cardboard pirate ship!
The puppies wake up to the sound of croaking outside the Cutie Pug House. What is that? They go outside and search for the source of the noise. BOING! A frog leaps through the air and lands on a rock. While the pugs investigate, Dee Dee is busy taking pictures with her tablet in the backyard. She stops by Dad raking leaves. She stops by Mom seated on the riding lawn mower. Time for a pug pic! But where are the pugs? Hop, hop! Ribbit, ribbit! There they are, in the pug pen, jumping after a frog on the go!
The pugs play in the backyard while Dee Dee and Mom go to the shed to get her kite. Meanwhile, Pablo hears a beautiful birdsong and looks high up to see Birdie perched in a tree. Birdie explains what it's like to be a bird and Pablo tries to fly... with little success. Mom and Dee Dee set up the kite. Dee Dee takes off. The kite starts flying low to the ground, but with a little help from Mom and a gust of wind, the kite is flying high!
The pugs are lounging outside the Cutie Pugs house when Dee Dee comes in wearing a painting smock. What's she doing today? They follow her into the backyard where Mom has set up her easel, paints, and thick and thin brushes. Penny plays a trick on the pugs and hides behind a thick tree. Petey looks behind a thin tree. No sign of Penny! Poppy get frustrated but Dee Dee calls out to them, and Penny pops out. Mom and the pugs gather round to see Dee Dee's masterpiece.
It's a hot day and Dee Dee and the pugs are building a sand castle in the sandbox, when Dee Dee spies Dad setting up the sprinkler on the dry lawn. As soon as Dad's back is turned, Dee Dee mischievously runs through the spray fully-clothed. She turns the sprinkler on the pugs, soaking the house windows in the process. Mom comes out to tell Dee Dee to change into her swimsuit. Then Dee Dee changes and charges out to wreak more sprinkler havoc on the Cutie Pugs and her unwitting parents.
