The program focuses on identifying and reading patterns, copying patterns, continuing patterns and copying the same pattern with different media.
Key aspects of counting explored include one to one correspondence, counting on and counting back.
The puppets and other segments encourage viewers to identify and name places in sequence and to give thought to the start point and the direction of the sequence, identify and matching ordinal numbers to cardinal number, and solve problems using ordinal number.
The mathematical focus is how numbers can be communicated and includes linking the different representations of number, and developing an appreciation of the part/part/whole relationship of numbers.
