The slurry season has just begun with Alistair in Donegal while down in Meath the Farrelly Brothers are erecting a shed and Peadar in Galway is heading off to spread some lime.
The cattle have been released to the land in Kerry, Alistair is ploughing the land in Donegal while Eoin in Clare is busy preparing for the silage season. Pat in Kells is clearing stones and Peadar is digging drains in Galway.
The sun has decided to shine and all the contractors from Donegal to Kerry, Meath to Limerick, Tipperary to Clare are busy mowing, shaking out, raking, baling, harvesting and making pit silage.
It's the new year and our contractors are back hard at work. In Cúl Aodha young contractor Niall is busy spreading slurry as are Paddy and his crew in North Kerry. Meanwhile in Donegal Traolach is busy with drainage work.
It's grass time and the silage season has finally arrived. Shane Swan is out doing pit silage for a well known footballing family as County GAA Manager Colm O'Rourke turns up to lend a hand.
It's full steam ahead and all hands on board with first cut silage in Cork with Alan Ross while up in Donegal the good weather has landed too and it's a family affair with the girls joining Traolach baling.
After one of the wettest Julys in recent times, the contractors are struggling, grabbing any short break in the weather they can, to try get their second cut silage and any ground work done.
