A versatile actor, Charlie went on to star in such blockbusters as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Wall Street", "Hot Shots" and "Platoon". He took over the Michael J. Fox vehicle "Spin City" and later starred for eight seasons on the CBS hit "Two and A Half Men", his departure from the show went largely unnoticed.
