The Hawaiian volcano shrimp (Halocaridina rubra) is the easiest pet that has probably ever existed. Once you get the tank set up properly, these little crustaceans will live and entertain you for literally decades with a minimum of care. It seems like there is no reason not to have volcano shrimp.
