1995. Lidia, jeune recrue ambitieuse de l’anti-terrorisme, est envoyée à Peranne, pour enquêter sur le scalp d’un imam, aux côtés de Jean, gendarme désabusé, hanté par ses souvenirs de la guerre d’Algérie. 25 ans plus tard, l’ancien maire de Peranne est assassiné. Et alors que Lidia est au faîte d’une carrière en apparence irréprochable, Jean disparaît du jour au lendemain. Le passé que tous croyaient définitivement enterré refait surface…
