Filmed over a year across the Sperrins in mid-Ulster, the series starts with spring. Beneath dark skies, bogs burst into life. In the foothills, locals work to protect heritage.
It’s summer in the mountains. While some honour traditions like Cairn Sunday and village sport in Donemana, others seek out the wilder places in search of nature’s mysteries.
It’s autumn, and the mountains are a kaleidoscope of colours. Under the waters, rare treasures are revealed, while up above, the dark skies bring celestial wonders.
It’s winter, and the Sperrins are first covered in snow, then battered by Storm Darragh. But work continues around the mountains to restore and protect this area of outstanding natural beauty.
