Lolas Freundin Lotta hat einen neuen Mantel. Ihre Großmutter hat ihn ihr geschenkt und er ist ganz weiß und weich und Lola findet ihn wundervoll. Deshalb will sie sich Lottas Mantel ausleihen. Sie verspricht ihr auch, ganz besonders gut Acht zu geben. Im Supermarkt weicht sie einer Pyramide aus Saftflaschen in großem Bogen aus. Aber dafür verhakt sie sich erst im Einkaufswagen und bleibt dann an mehreren Klebestreifen hängen. Das Schlimmste aber ist, dass Lola Lottas wundervoll weichen Mantel in der Bücherei vergisst. Lola really likes Lotta's new coat --- it's white and as soft as snow. She manages to convince Lotta to trade it for a clippy handbag of hers for the day and promises to take good care of it. As she goes out for the day, she manages to avoid several situations that could cause damage to the coat. Then she loses it at the library, and worries that Lotta won't be her friend anymore.
