Based in Kenya's Central Rift Valley, anthropologist Dr. Shirley Strum has been chronicling the lives of olive baboons, focusing on their sexual roles and social organization. For almost three decades she has been actively studying and protecting one special baboon troop- "The Pumphouse Gang".

    The Barbados Wildlife Reserve, set up by primatologist Jean Baulu in 1985, as a sanctuary for the green vervet monkey which were being killed as pests by local farmers.
