RTÉ’s Celebrity Bainisteoir returns for a second series with eight brand new celebrities, eight new mentors and eight new GAA club teams ready to battle it out for the title Celebrity Bainisteoir 2009. Celebrity Bainisteoir 2009 promises even more drama and excitement as these eight Bainisteoirí step out of their comfort zone and immerse themselves in club GAA for the honour of their home county. The eight new celebrities who will take on the challenge of managing an intermediate club football team from their home county in this official GAA tournament are: Ray D’Arcy, Derek Davis, George Hook, Katherine Lynch, John McGuire, Emma O’Driscoll, Andrea Roche and John Waters. The first programme in the eight-part series sees the bainisteoirí find out who they will be drawn against and there are shocks and surprises for the teams as they meet their bainisteoirí for the first time.
