Jack Kincaid believes he has the perfect life until his wife Keri (Jessica Tuck) divorces him and wants to take the kids to New England to escape the rat race. The courts, with a little help from Murph (Eric Lange), intervene and say that the kids cannot be moved from LA county. So she packs up the kids and moves them to the last small town in America, on Catalina Island
Jack decides to stay on Catalina Island and see what this small town America life is all about, but Keri can't believe it, and his office starts a manhunt.
Murph tells Jack how he became involved with the Guatemalan Dream Prayers. Walt worries that his dad might kidnap him to keep them together. And Jack learns that it is all about the little things and being with his kids. Jack and Walt go on a little road trip to pack up his office and finally say good-bye to the rat race
Jack Kincaid is having trouble finding his musical muse and has no new songs for the Sunset Set. Jennifer (Tessie Santiago) locks Jack into her bedroom till he comes up with a new song. Walt takes Sally to the Under Sea Dance where they still can't get it quite right. Murph tries to quit the nuns and must confront Sister Consuela
