Sakura sucht den Schrein erneut auf, weil sie dort eine weitere Clow Card vermutet. Plötzlich wird sie von dem heiligen Baum des Schreins gefangen und verschwindet in ihm. Sie findet sich in der Vergangenheit wieder. Zum Glück setzt Shaoran all seine Kraft und Macht aufs Spiel, um Sakura zu befreien.
Sakura learns that Toya knew Ms. Mizuki whilst in junior high. She later meets Ms. Mizuki at the shrine, learning she lives there. Sakura, Kero, and Syaoran later visit the shrine upon sensing a Clow Card, but nothing appears. Sakura and Syaoran both come to terms that they both like Yukito. Sakura is suddenly sucked into the shrine's tree by the Return Card. Sakura finds herself experiencing events from the past between Toya and Ms. Mizuki.

Sakura si reca con Syaoran e Kero-chan all'albero di ciliegio di fronte al tempio in gestione del padre della professoressa Mizuki. All'improvviso, viene intrappolata in esso e rispedita indietro nel tempo da The Past (la carta del Passato), che le fa rivivere i momenti in cui suo fratello Touya era innamorato della sua nuova insegnate. Grazie all'aiuto di Syaoran, che ricorre alla carta del Tempo, Sakura ritorna nel presente e cattura la carta del Passato, che però diventa di proprietà di Syaoran.
Sakura e Kero encontram-se com Shaoran no Santuário Tsukimine após sentirem a presença de uma Carta Clow, mas Sakura é engolida por uma árvore e viaja até ao passado.
Sakura tiene un sueño muy extraño con la Torre de Tokio, con Kero y con una persona de cabello largo, por lo que se levanta muy temprano y decide pasear un rato antes de dirigirse a su escuela, entonces se detiene en frente del templo Tsukimine y se encuentra con la profesora Mizuki, por lo que se ofrece ayudarle a barrer junto con Yukito que llega un poco después. En agradecimiento a esta acción, la profesora les regala castañas a Yukito y Sakura, por lo que Sakura llega muy contenta a la escuela y les cuenta lo que pasó a Meiling, Tomoyo y Shaoran.
Sakura i Kero spotykają Shaorana w świątyni Tsukimine, gdzie wyczuwają obecność karty Clow. Sakura zostaje połknięta przez drzewo i zagląda w przeszłość.
