Season 2021

  • S2021E01 Winter Snowshoe Camping

    • December 9, 2021

We did the first quick overnight camping of the winter season with the ice fishing tent, Mr. buddy heater, and some cots. There was severe freezing rain the day before so the snowshoes definitely made things much safer. I am hoping to get on the road next week to explore some severely interesting stealth camping spots.

Season 2023

  • S2023E01 Ferry Terminal Stealth Camping

    • January 13, 2023

I camped out for the night in the lineup at a BC Ferries terminal. It proved to be a good place to enjoy the evening with a food truck. If anyone is in Earls Cove please check out Sharon's Grill It (The food truck). I highly recommend it :) Decent camping adventure!

  • S2023E02 Beach Shelter Stealth Camping

    • February 2, 2023

I found a great beach shelter that had been built on the coast so I decided to camp in it for the night. It was very close to a dog-walking trail so there was plenty of people to hide from. A very neat spot for camping, but a risky camping spot indeed! Late to bed and early to get up.

  • S2023E03 Double RV Camping

    • February 9, 2023

I headed out to say goodbye to Jess and my favorite campsite in the world. It is eroding into the ocean and doesn't look like it will reopen again. It was just a normal relaxing camping trip without too much excitement but that's ok sometimes. Crazy neighbor towed me out to the campground in the brave little toaster with their nice big fancy motorhome.

  • S2023E04 Highway Scale Stealth Camping

    • February 23, 2023

I stealth camped at a commercial vehicle inspection station and weigh scale along the side of the highway. There was ample tree cover and plenty of spots to set up camp for the night. The camping was acceptable considering the location. As always it's not quite a camping trip without something going wrong.

  • S2023E05 Blanket Fort Camping

    • March 2, 2023

I have finally completed my lifelong dream. To camp in a blanket fort! It seems silly, but it actually worked out better than I thought. I went to a regular campground with other respectable campers and put together a blanket fort with rachet straps, clamps, and tent pegs. It was a very acceptable camping shelter and a relaxing couple of days!

  • S2023E06 Car Camo Stealth Camping

    • March 16, 2023

I found a spot along the side of the highway that was perfect to pull the SUV in for a night of secret camping. I covered the car with hunter's camo cloth and it blended in wonderfully. It was a bit of a noisy campsite, but I got used to it. Camped out in the car I couldn't hear too much traffic.

  • S2023E07 River Camping Under Highway Bridge

    • March 23, 2023

I found a great camping spot underneath a highway bridge. A beautiful river ran right beside the campsite and was the perfect place to hunker down and camp for the night. Some highway noise made it hit and miss overnight, but the white noise of the river made camping far more enjoyable than expected!

Season 2024

  • S2024E01 Simple Car Camping

    • January 18, 2024

To make camping life easier on the road I've set up my car to have a half bunk in the back with a small table (shoe organizing rack) to use as a desk and table to put my laptop on. I have a 100 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery to provide me with enough power to run a coffee maker and lighting. My bed is leveled out with some pine boards and shims so I can sleep level. The whole camping setup can be removed in minutes to return the car to normal.

  • S2024E02 Blatant Stealth Camping Under Tree

    • February 22, 2024

I finally got back out to do a night of stealth camping in a very exposed spot. There was heavy traffic and very minimal cover, but I managed to camp underneath two trees for the night and remained hidden from view. It's still winter so it was a bit chilly, but sitting still really got me feeling cold. It was a fun trip nonetheless! Once I crawled into my sleeping bag it got quite warm and aside from the traffic noise and bumpy ground it was a great sleep!
