I believe this two-part episode is the one where someone in Cade's County buys a Lamborghini Miura. The car is stolen or taken for a joy ride by the mechanic, who injures or kills someone during the ride. Cade tries to solve the crime and during the investigation the Miura is driven into a phone booth to kill the caller. Paint samples identify the paint as coming from Lamborghini, Maserati, or DeTomaso. At the end of part 2, the Miura leaps out of a barn at the hero, who shoots the car. It stops, with smoke coming out of the louvers, and the driver is arrested.
