A comedy special featuring the master of insults, Don Rickles. In this special, Johnny Carson does the introduction and Rickles goes into the crowd, offering his unique mix of put-downs and one-liners. While parading through the throng, Rickles comes upon Tim Conway and McLean Stevenson taking in the show. A series of sketches follow. The first, set on a couple's Hawaiian honeymoon, features Anne Meara as a new bride who only wants love, with Rickles as the husband who can only think of his mother. The next sketch is a take-off of an awards ceremony, where the honors go to people in the medical profession. Carroll O'Connor, Don Adams, and Bob Newhart make special appearances during this skit. The third sketch takes place at the United Nations building, on a night many delegates from different countries are attending a conference. Rickles plays a security officer with a hot temper, with Harvey Korman as his somewhat sympathetic boss. The final sketch finds the newleyweds again, this time in Las Vegas, attending a show starring Don Rickles. The insults go out to both of them.
