De druk op het ministerie neemt toe, want elk moment kunnen twee Nederlanders geëxecuteerd worden in Santa Luca. Alle kranten staan vol over het ongelukkige optreden van de minister. De Tweede Kamer eist hard optreden en zet Meinema het mes op de keel. Raoul en Monique staan de minister op hun trouwdag nog zo goed mogelijk bij. Intussen probeert Maarten Meinema zijn alcoholverslaving de baas te blijven.
The pressure on the ministry is increasing, because at any moment two Dutchmen could be executed in Santa Luca. All the newspapers are full of the unfortunate behavior of the minister. The House of Representatives demands tough action and puts the knife to Meinema's throat. Raoul and Monique assist the minister as best as possible on their wedding day.
