EXPLOSIONS. LOUD NOISES. HUNDREDS OF THINGS MOVING ON THE SCREEN. MICHAEL BAY. This video makes as much sense as the actual movies do. **we take no responsibility for any brain aneurysms that occur from viewing this video.
We had so much fun putting together every best picture ever, we thought we'd highlight every best visual effects winner next. For the 1927/28 Academy awards, the award was for engineering effects. There was no award again until 1938 where it was called a special award "for outstanding achievement in creating special photographic and sound effects. The very next year the award was combined with sound effects and called the Award for Special Effects. It wasn't until 1963 that the award became the Award for Best Visual Effects (which it is still called today). It was given every year from 1963 to present, with the exception of 1973. Hope you enjoy! **Also we apologize for the two title mistakes. We had already uploaded it when we noticed: *The Thief OF Bagdad *Reap The Wild WIND
* And...he's now won his first Oscar! Congrats, Leo! With the Oscars right around the corner (and there being a good chance of Leo finally taking home an Academy Award himself), we thought it would be fun to show the cinematic evolution of Leonardo DiCaprio. Note: We’re aware that he’s also credited in Poison Ivy (1992), but we choose not to include that film, because his scene was either cut or he appears somewhere in the background as an extra. There’s no consensus on which scene he appears in or if he’s seen at all.

We are excited about Dawn of Justice, so we wanted to explore the television and cinematic history of Batman. We purposely chose to omit some of his appearances and only use the best/our favorites.
Dawn of Justice is nearly here, so we're following up our Batman video from last week with one about the Kryptonian in the red underwear.

The first time the Joker appeared on television was 50 years ago. There has been a ton of actors portraying the clown prince of crime since then. We wanted to see how they all stacked up against each other, so we explored the evolution of the character throughout television, film, video, and even a few video games. Let's put a smile on that face.

This year's Oscar nominees have been announced! So time to update our VFX award video from last year. We have added the winner from last year, this year's nominees, and a whole bunch of great updates throughout the video entirely. Enjoy! About the award: For the 1927/28 Academy awards, the award was for engineering effects.
The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature was first handed out in 2001. Here is a look back at all the winners so far, and this year’s nominees.
