Former Jump Street cop, Dennis Booker, is hired to head up a new investigative unit for Teshima Corp. On his first day, the ever rebellious Booker blows off his first assignment, opting instead to help his secretary, Elaine, clear a man she feels she wrongly convicted when she was a juror.
Booker misses the action on the street, until he's marked for payback for the death of a gang member who shot his former Jump Street colleague, officer Judy Hoffs.
Booker gets entangled in a murder investigation after he offers Alicia assistance in tracking down her ex-husband who is illegally harboring their daughter.
Working on a tip from Booker, the Jump Street cops join a motorcycle caravan in order to bring Raymond Crane to justice. (A crossover-episode which aired as season 4, episode 10 of 21 Jump Street.)
A six-year-old girl manages to steal Booker's heart as he searches for her missing father, a repo man whom he believes is involved in an auto theft ring.
Booker has trouble relating to his father, whom he believed had abandoned his family fourteen years earlier, when his dad shows up to reveal that he was actually in the Witness Protection Program and now needs his son's help in a mob related case.
