Complication matters is Bobby's new manager; Della McDermott, who is a hard taskmaster although with Bobby's best interests at heart; and Anastasia, a teenage groupie who has sneaked into Bobby's flat without his knowing at a most in convenient time.

Della is also arranging a deal for Bobby with promoter Arthur carroll, but she finds that there are too many strings attached.

    Bobby invited to appear on a fund raising telethon, however complications arise when Fred wants to attend the program as part of the studie audience. Della, who thought the telethon would be good publicity for Bobby, is filled with dread when Fred makes an unscheduled appearance in front of the camera with Bobby.

    Bobby works on a fund raiser for needy children and and becomes infatuated with a high society girl. Fiona, who is remotely interested in him. The tables are turned when Bobby at last comes down to earth and sees through her vains, self-centered existence.

    Fred Farrell plans his long awaited comeback, and Della McDermott find an opening for him-a concert for some old folk at a senior citizen's club. Fred feels the booking is beneath him, but he changes his tune when he is well received by his audience.

    Bobby has an overnight booking at Ballarat, and is accompanied by Della and Fred. Fred looks up an old girlfriend, and Bobby meets ""B.c."", a loudmouth local disc jockey.

    Bobby and Fred agree to perform in concert in a private function. Upon arrival at the residence they are confronted by appears to be a haunted house.

    B.C. from Ballarat comes to stay with Bobby. Della warns Bobby that he is a con-man, and property go missing. However, there is a reasonable explanation for everything, and B.c. manages to secure an elusive recording contract for Bobby.

  • S01E14 The New Guard

    Della McDermott is leaving for overseas, and Bobby's replacement manager, Ruth Rierdon, seems to be very easy going, Bobby thinks he is in for an easy ride, free of the shackles of Della's discipline-but he soon gets a rude shock and comes to appreciate Della when Ruth turns out to be an even harder taskmaster.
