This is not the usual Thom Browne New York show - this gorgeous bid for Paris Fashion Week couture is Thom Browne at his absolute finest. This premiere couture collection has gotten brand fanatics very excited - beautiful tweeds, seersucker, tortoise shell and pigeons. Other than American fashion staple Ralph Lauren, Thom Browne is bringing the most emblematic parts of tailoring and American New England prep to Paris and the world. His work is heavily inspired by Jacques Tati’s Playtime (1967), one of the best movies of all time. He takes that surrealist landscape, and incorporates gargoyles, Paris, New York and a bridal look, too. We’ll see which looks from this collection end up at the MET Gala.
