The jumbo lace king has done it again in his most recent show taking notes from Egypt and permanence. Outside of Rick Owens’s huge collaboration with Aesop and Moncler, Rick seems to be talking more candidly about his perspective on time lately, and how it’s been shaped by his wife Michèle Lamy and how his daughter has made him a grandfather. The bench mark for a lasting legacy is difficult for anyone to wrap their heads around, but Rick tries to do his best. I had the privilege of being able to see this show in person at this past Paris Fashion Week. This creative director and fashion designer is still dedicated to putting out compelling work whose impact will leave a lasting legacy.
