In Karakura Town, Nozomi Kujō wanders listlessly around the town, with Kon in close pursuit. He asks her where she is going, to which she states that she doesn't know. He berates her for walking around without knowing where to go, to which she throws a rock at Kon, pummeling him into a nearby tree. He shouts at her avidly, prompting Nozomi to say that she has a place to go to, but doesn't know the exact location.
Mentre nel mondo terreno Ichigo e i suoi amici cercano Nozomi e i veri shinigami devono scontrarsi con i propri Reigai, Kyoraku viene arrestato con l'accusa di aver falsificato i dati sugli attraversamenti nel Dangai.
Rangiku se enfrenta al Reigai de Izuru pero la zanpaluto del impostor resulta más poderosa de lo que se esperaba. Rukia por su parte se enfrenta a su doble y a Nemu cuando de repente la ayuda llega de una persona inesperada.
