When the group penetrates the barrier with the cannonball they end up being separated. Ichigo and Ganju end up together. When they land they are confronted by two Shinigami. Ganju runs away but Ichigo decided to stay and fight.

霊力の砲弾と化し、瀞霊廷に突っ込む一護達。しかし、一護が霊力のコントロールに失敗した為、瀞霊廷の上空を覆う霊力を遮断する遮魂膜（しゃこんまく）に引っかかってしまう。必死に霊力を集中して無理やり突入しようとする一護達。その瞬間、砲弾が爆発。一護達はバラバラになって瀞霊廷に落ちていく。石田と織姫、チャド、夜一、そして、一護とガンジュ。なんとか無事に着地した一護とガンジュの前に、斑目一角（まだらめ いっかく）と綾瀬川弓親（あやせがわ ゆみちか）という二人組の死神が現れる。
Beim Landeanflug auf Seireitei wird das Rettungsteam getrennt. Ichigo und Ganju bekommen gleich nach der Ankunft Gelegenheit zu zeigen, dass sie echte Haudegen sind.
El cañón acaba siendo disparado pero Ichigo, incapaz de controlar su poder espiritual, hace que él y sus compañeros acaben atrapados en el Escudo de Almas. El cañón explota y descienden al Seireitei divididos; Ichigo y Ganju por un lado deberán a enfrentarse a Ikkaku y Yumichika, dos Shinigamis, e Ishida, Yoruichi y Chad, por otro.
Quando o grupo penetra a barreira com a bala de canhão acabam se separando. Ichigo e Ganju acabam juntos. Quando eles pousam, são confrontados por dois Shinigami. Ganju foge, mas Ichigo decide ficar e lutar.
