After a successful heist at an antique store, Joe, a serial thief, accidentally falls into a pit at a construction site and is buried under melting asphalt. The stolen ornament from an ancient civilization happens to be the mystic "Dark Jewelry" that transforms Joe into "Darkness," the asphalt monster! He wanders through the asphalt covered streets and drowns himself in evil deeds.
