During World War II experts in psychological warfare battled for the hearts and minds of the enemy through the use of propaganda. The Allies used this type of warfare as did the Germans and the Japanese. One famous Japanese broadcast featured the sultry voice of “Tokyo Rose,” who was actually a staff of more than a dozen women who broadcast music and relatively ineffectual propaganda to the enemy through out the war. When the war was over the search for scapegoats and traitors began. This is the story of one woman who was singled out, branded as Tokyo Rose and convicted of treason.
