Story of the third king of Israel who is known for his great wisdom. When his reign began, he asked the Lord for the wisdom to rule well, and God granted him his wish, as well as riches and honor. Solomon built the first Temple and helped the Israelites to enjoy a long period of security and prosperity, but was often distracted by his reputed 700 wives and 300 concubines.
