故事以元末明初作为历史背景，当时江湖人对天下最高的剑法“飞天神记”均虎视眈眈，为之疯狂，更不惜追杀其拥有者刘璋玉。刘璋玉被杀後，幸得其忠心的部属郭藏把其子刘珍河抚养，并教珍河练“飞天神记”。二十年弹指一挥间，不知是否天意弄人，珍河竟巧遇杀父仇人之女儿雪莉，彼此更一见钟情，深深被对方吸引。同时珍河练成了“飞天神记”第一招，虽可以成为拯救人类的“剑神”，但若再练至第十一招则可以成危害人类的“剑鬼”。究竟珍河会否再练第十一招？他与雪莉之间的一段情又将如何置处？
