Der Tag der großen Entscheidung zwischen den All Starz und den Bladebreakers ist gekommen. Doch Max soll nicht antreten, sondern Kai, weil die Gegner ihn zu gut kennen. Auch die Mutter von Max, von der sich Max nichts mehr wünscht, als dass sie mehr Zeit für ihn hätte, rät Max dringend, nicht zu kämpfen. Doch am Ende setzt Max sich durch und darf das dritte Match bestreiten. Doch zuerst muss Tyson ran. Er kämpft gegen Steve. Die erste Runde gewinnt er ganz leicht, merkt aber nicht, dass sie ihn absichtlich gewinnen lassen, um ihn zu studieren. In der zweiten Runde verliert er genauso schnell. Nun steht die dritte Runde dieses ersten Matches bevor.
Tensions rise as the American Tournament heats up. Max fights for a chance to beyblade against his mother’s team the All-Starz in an upcoming match, while Tyson and the rest of the Bladebreakers realize that the All-Starz are a bigger threat then they previously thought. At the end of two tense rounds, Tyson and Steve are tied one-all.
Il professor Kappa decide di non schierare Max nell'incontro finale perché la squadra dei PPB possiede troppe informazioni su di lui. Max non è contento della scelta strategica e si reca sul tetto per riflettere. Qui il ragazzo incontra la madre, la quale conferma che la scelta del professore è stata ottimale. Max però non si dà per vinto e riesce a convincere i compagni a scendere in campo nell'ultimo incontro. Il giorno delle finali, Takao combatte contro Steve, il giocatore con la passione per il football americano. Il primo incontro viene vinto facilmente da Takao ma questi scopre che l'avversario si è trattenuto per avere il tempo di acquisire informazioni su di lui. Il secondo incontro viene vinto da Steve.
