Jack is released from prison. He encourages Dylan to invite all his friends to a party, but only Kelly shows up. Dylan tells Kelly that he has chosen her over Brenda, and they kiss in the hotel pool. Dylan and Kelly take Brenda for a walk to inform her of Dylan's decision, and reveal their summer fling. She screams that she will never speak to them again. The financially destitute Jack wants to dissolve Dylan's trust so that he can have access to the money. Dylan goes along with it to show faith in his father. Jim fears that Jack is taking advantage of Dylan. Mel moves out of the Taylor house. David fears that he will no longer be a part of Erin's life, but Jackie invites him to stay with Kelly and her. Nat forgets to place a winning bet for Brandon; in lieu of cash, Brandon asks for his bookie's phone number. Inspired by her trip to the spa, Andrea decides to change her look, but no one can really tell the difference. Jack McKay decide di organizzare una festa al Bel Age hotel per festeggiare il suo rilascio dalla prigione. Dylan invita sia Brenda che Kelly ma alla fine sceglie Kelly. Il matrimonio fra Mel e Jackie finisce e David teme di non poter più vedere la sua sorellina. L'interesse di Brandon per le scommesse diventa pericoloso. Brenda è furiosa quando Dylan e Kelly le confessano la loro storia estiva e non vuole avere più niente a che fare con entrambi.
Jim no permite que su hija acuda a una fiesta que se organiza en el Hotel Belage para celebrar que Jack, el padre de Dylan ha salido de prisión. Jim cree que tener a Jack cerca puede ser peligroso para Dylan y no ve claras sus intenciones. Quien si que acude a la fiesta es Kelly, quien acaba besándose con Dylan en la piscina del hotel. Andrea decide cambiar su aspecto y decide teñirse el pelo de rubio, pero nadie parece notar el cambio. David está preocupado por el fin del matrimonio entre Mel y Jackie después de que esta se enterase de que era infiel. Jack le pide a Dylan que invierta con él, pero Jim se opone. Steve acude a un partido de los Lakers y se sienta al lado de Jack Nicholson. Kelly y Dylan se presentan en casa de Brenda, los tres salen a dar una vuelta en la que le acaban diciendo a Brenda que van a salir juntos, ante lo cual se enfada, discuten y se marcha dejando solos a la pareja.
