Over the hour George Lee will meet Irish people who went in pursuit of the Dubai dream. Dubai is an economic oasis and a tax free haven in the centre of the Middle East and has become home to over 8000 Irish people. Dubai is a city that has been built up rapidly over the last 30 years and the Irish have played their part in building itss success. Amongst many successful Irish people, George will meet Galway man Gerald Lawless, the Head of the multi-million Jumeirah group that has the iconic billion dollar Burj Al Arab amongst their hotels, 30 year old tech millionaire Paul Kenny who is rumoured to have sold his business Cabome for over 30 million, wedding planner, Jennifer McGarrigle from Dublin of Exquisite Events as she produce a local wedding worth half a million. George will also meet younger Irish who are over In Dubai as teachers and see how they are getting on living in the Middle East where the laws are very different from home. George Lee will talk to an Irish man, Conor Hayes, who was imprisoned and deported from Dubai for a crime he says he didn’t commit.
